Chapter book review!

We have finished our very first chapter book together. We read _Flat Stanley_ His Original Adventure!_

This is  a great book that would interest young readers. Stanley awakens one morning to see that he has become as flat as a pancake during his sleep. He is able to use this peculiar situation to lend his body in a series of helpful events, and becomes quite popular. This excites Stanley, of course, but sets off a jealousy in his brother Arthur.  In the end, it is his very brother that thinks of an idea that ultimately returns Stanley to his original body shape.

This book is a great way to remind little ones that size doesn't always matter!

We are off to our next Stanley adventure tomorrow!

We have news!!

Our classroom pets, Mac and Brady, have eggs in their nest!!! This is actually their first set of eggs. Our second graders last year waited all year long for this to happen, without any luck. Now, the first week of the year it has Happened! A photo will be posted soon. These beautiful eggs are the exact reminder of why Pastor Steve is so gracious and advocating of pets in the classrooms. We have watched one of the many miracles of God's creation right before our eyes! That beats seeing bird eggs in a book by far!!!!
